- That these Ms target non-M girls as victims is clear from what we see across Assam, WB and Bangladesh. 98% of rape victims in BD are non-M. This is not mere crime of passion.

Consequences

Dhimmihood
Ulama in Iran had already classified Zoroastrians and Buddhists as Dhimmis - but H were as hardcore counter to Islam as they cud get, therefore much debate happened.
Hanafis allow Jizya dhimmihood to idol worshippers as well +++(Adapted by muslim rulers in India as they had no choice)+++. In addition to Hanafi, Maliki also allowed the Dhimmi status for Hindus. Dhimmi but not “ahl al-kitab”. Later, Hanbali (as in modern Saudi) too accepted the same, as reflected in their laws. Maulana Maududi spent time on reopening the topic!
